Websites and software for manufacturing and exporting companies
A manufacturer exporting to the EU needs two things that are rarely done well: a website that presents its capabilities seriously to foreign buyers, and internal tools that replace endless Excel spreadsheets.
Sales
A website built for export
A foreign buyer checks your website before the first contact. It has to answer the purchasing department’s questions: what you can produce, in what volumes, with which certificates and how fast.
ISO standards, quality control and traceability — documents available for download in one place.
Proper versions of the site for the markets you export to, with the right tags for Google in each country.
A PDF capability presentation and product data sheets — always up to date, no more sending them by email.
An enquiry form that accepts drawings and specifications and reaches the right person directly.
A dedicated recruitment page — for many manufacturers today just as important as sales.
Internal tools
Software for production
In many companies production is still tracked through Excel, paper and phone calls. It works — until you need an accurate figure, fast.
Orders, status, delays and output per line or shift on one screen — in real time or daily.
Daily, weekly and monthly reports generated from the data automatically — no manual copying, no errors.
ERP, accounting, warehouse and spreadsheets talk to each other. Data is entered once.
Alerts when material drops below minimum and an overview of what to order for planned work orders.
Digital inspection records instead of paper — searchable, with photos and traceability per order.
Recording downtime and its causes, to see where time and money are really lost.
Concept
About the concept in the picture
The concept shows the home page of a contract metalworking manufacturer, written for European buyers. The first screen answers the purchasing department’s questions: what the company does (CNC machining, laser cutting, welded assemblies), which certifications it holds and how to request a quote — plus a button to download a PDF capability presentation.
The dark, technical look and precise details (tolerances, dimensions) communicate engineering precision without a single word. For your company, the style adapts to your brand and the buyers you address. For internal tools, see also the example of automating Excel reports with Python.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
We have an ERP or accounting system. Can you connect to it?
Usually yes — via an API, data exports (CSV, Excel) or directly from the database, depending on the system. I first look at what kind of data access your system offers, then propose the simplest and safest approach.
Is the dashboard accessible outside the factory?
It can be, if you want — with login and role-based permissions. It can also run only on the internal network. We decide based on how sensitive the data is.
Do we need a German website if we export to Germany?
If your buyers are in the DACH region, a German version is a real advantage: purchasing departments search for suppliers in their own language. English is the minimum for exporting, and I recommend German as soon as Germany or Austria is an important market.
